VP of Strategic Marketing at Thermo King
Mtu Pugh is currently the Vice President of Strategic Marketing for Thermo King Americas, a business unit of Trane Technologies. In this role, Mtu leads the development and execution of strategy for the business. Additionally, he leads the Marketing and Market Insights teams in analyzing macro-trends impacting our industry and customers. This work will guide Thermo King’s teams and ensure we continue to provide industry-leading products and services.
Prior to joining Thermo King Americas, Mtu worked at Lowe’s Home Improvement Stores, where he served as Senior Director of Enterprise Strategy. Prior to joining Lowe’s, he was with Ingersoll Rand as director of Corporate Strategy where he worked closely with the Residential HVAC Strategic Business Unit. Mtu brings more than 25 years of experience in business strategy, portfolio management and operations to our business. He has worked across multiple industries and operating models with companies such as Family Dollar, McKinsey & Company, William Blair New World Ventures and Procter & Gamble. Mtu has a strong customer-centric view and has a successful track record of creating marketing strategies that meet customer needs.
Mtu earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Yale University and a Master of Business Administration from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He, his wife and three children, live in Charlotte, North Carolina.
